STELLA Elastic Waist Tube Skirt in Burgundy
The Stella elastic-waist tube skirt in burgundy is made from a blend of recycled nylon and recycled polyester. Its unique texture is knitted in a super fine 18-gauge yarn using a narrow variegated rib stitch – a technique which creates the illusion of a pleat without requiring heat, or losing its shape.
Its elasticated waist is designed to sit high on the waist while the hem falls to the ankle, the long, tubular form of the skirt molding and adapting easily to its wearer. It lends itself to layering with longer Skins tops and T-shirts, their combined length creating a functional opacity.
Like all pieces from the Skins collection, the Stella is knitted in one continuous piece, resulting in an extremely comfortable, seamless construction and a zero-waste production process. All hems are finished to create the appearance of being raw.
Lightweight, breathable and highly functional, the Skins collection is specially engineered in a technical sportswear factory to create the sensation of a second skin, with total freedom of movement.
Consider it the foundation of a fully modular wardrobe. Wear each piece alone, its translucency revealing and concealing the skin beneath, or build up layers in different colours, silhouettes and sizes to create an expressive and ever-evolving system.
Made from a blend of 55% recycled nylon and 45% recycled polyester. All of the polyester and nylon Gerbase. uses is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, a worldwide association which prevents the usage of harmful substances in the production and dyeing of materials.
To care for your Skins elastic waist tube skirt, we recommend machine washing at 30 degrees and ironing at a low temperature. Do not bleach or tumble dry, as this can damage the fibres. It can also be professionally dry cleaned.

It has become increasingly clear that we need to look after the earth better than we have been over past generations.
On our days off from running Gerbase. we are more likely than not spending our time in nature - on a beach surfing or climbing a mountain.
A responsibility towards nature is part of who we are, and something we want to keep focused on in every step of our value chain, to be able to make the best choices towards running a fully sustainable company, and to give our customer the peace of mind that they are not contributing to the demise of the globe. We aim to continue to improve our processes and to research new methods for improvements, and hopefully to also inspire others to search for a better, more sustainable future for our planet.
For our products to be as responsible as possible we always seek out the most sustainable and high-quality textiles and materials in the market. In addition, we aim to use recycled fabrics whenever possible for both synthetic and natural fibres. Where we use animal fibres we only use raw materials from animal friendly responsible sources and ensure traceability.
It is important that our products have longevity and that we extend the lifetime of the garments as much as possible. To that end our first step in sustainability is to develop products that aim to last a lifetime, not just a season. We are far from our goal to run a fully sustainable CO2 negative company, but we hope that these initial steps will be the foundation to build on during our journey towards best practices, and we aim to continue to be fully transparent with all our initiatives, what we are doing and how we can improve.
