STELLA Elastic Waist Tube Skirt in Navy
Made from a blend of recycled nylon and recycled polyester, the Stella elastic-waist tube skirt in navy is designed to function as a second skin. A very fine, 18-gauge yarn is used to knit its unique pleated texture, which is constructed with a variegated rib stitch, allowing the piece to maintain its shape without the need for a heat press.
Its elasticated waist is designed to sit high on the waist while the hem falls to the ankle, the long, tubular form of the skirt molding and adapting easily to its wearer. It lends itself to layering with longer Skins tops and T-shirts, their combined length creating a functional opacity.
The Stella's comfortable, seamless construction is made by knitting it in one single piece, meaning a zero-waste production process and an innovative, utilitarian character. All hems are finished to create a raw appearance.
The Skins collection is specially engineered in a technical sportswear factory to create a lightweight, breathable and highly functional texture – with complete freedom of movement. It is modular by nature. Each piece can be worn alone, its translucency sharing an impression of the skin underneath, or layered with other pieces to create a practical opacity. Different shades, sizes and silhouettes combine to alter the overall effect – an innately individual system.
Made from a blend of 55% recycled nylon and 45% recycled polyester. All of the polyester and nylon Gerbase. uses is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, a worldwide association which prevents the usage of harmful substances in the production and dyeing of materials.
To care for your Skins elastic waist tube skirt, we recommend machine washing at 30 degrees and ironing at a low temperature. Do not bleach or tumble dry, as this can damage the fibres. It can also be professionally dry cleaned.

It has become increasingly clear that we need to look after the earth better than we have been over past generations.
On our days off from running Gerbase. we are more likely than not spending our time in nature - on a beach surfing or climbing a mountain.
A responsibility towards nature is part of who we are, and something we want to keep focused on in every step of our value chain, to be able to make the best choices towards running a fully sustainable company, and to give our customer the peace of mind that they are not contributing to the demise of the globe. We aim to continue to improve our processes and to research new methods for improvements, and hopefully to also inspire others to search for a better, more sustainable future for our planet.
For our products to be as responsible as possible we always seek out the most sustainable and high-quality textiles and materials in the market. In addition, we aim to use recycled fabrics whenever possible for both synthetic and natural fibres. Where we use animal fibres we only use raw materials from animal friendly responsible sources and ensure traceability.
It is important that our products have longevity and that we extend the lifetime of the garments as much as possible. To that end our first step in sustainability is to develop products that aim to last a lifetime, not just a season. We are far from our goal to run a fully sustainable CO2 negative company, but we hope that these initial steps will be the foundation to build on during our journey towards best practices, and we aim to continue to be fully transparent with all our initiatives, what we are doing and how we can improve.
