STELLA Elastic Waist Tube Skirt in White

With its seamless construction and raw-edged finish, the Stella elastic-waist tube skirt in white is designed to fit effortlessly into the life of its wearer. Its innovative pleat is created using an extremely fine 18-gauge yarn and a narrow variegated rib stitch, creating a lightweight and endlessly flexible texture.

Its elasticated waist is designed to sit high on the waist while the hem falls to the ankle, the long, tubular form of the skirt molding and adapting easily to its wearer. It lends itself to layering with longer Skins tops and T-shirts, their combined length creating a functional opacity.

Like all garments in the Skins collection, the Stella is knitted in one continuous piece, resulting in a zero-waste production process and a seamless construction, for maximum comfort. Its hems are finished to create a raw appearance.

Styling notes

The Skins collection is designed with a second skin in mind; its lightweight, breathable and highly functional form allows for complete freedom of movement.

It was conceived as the core of a modular wardrobe, in which different colours, shapes and sizes can be combined and contrasted to form an evolving system. Its sheer nature lends it to layering; reveal and conceal the skin beneath with changing lengths and translucencies.

Made from a blend of 55% recycled nylon and 45% recycled polyester. All of the polyester and nylon Gerbase. uses is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, a worldwide association which prevents the usage of harmful substances in the production and dyeing of materials.

Care instructions

It has become increasingly clear that we need to look after the earth better than we have been over past generations.

On our days off from running Gerbase. we are more likely than not spending our time in nature - on a beach surfing or climbing a mountain.

A responsibility towards nature is part of who we are, and something we want to keep focused on in every step of our value chain, to be able to make the best choices towards running a fully sustainable company, and to give our customer the peace of mind that they are not contributing to the demise of the globe. We aim to continue to improve our processes and to research new methods for improvements, and hopefully to also inspire others to search for a better, more sustainable future for our planet.

For our products to be as responsible as possible we always seek out the most sustainable and high-quality textiles and materials in the market. In addition, we aim to use recycled fabrics whenever possible for both synthetic and natural fibres. Where we use animal fibres we only use raw materials from animal friendly responsible sources and ensure traceability.

It is important that our products have longevity and that we extend the lifetime of the garments as much as possible. To that end our first step in sustainability is to develop products that aim to last a lifetime, not just a season. We are far from our goal to run a fully sustainable CO2 negative company, but we hope that these initial steps will be the foundation to build on during our journey towards best practices, and we aim to continue to be fully transparent with all our initiatives, what we are doing and how we can improve.
